Founded in 1924, University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law is an academic community committed to producing the next generation of leaders through academic coursework enhanced by experiential training. Pacific McGeorge faculty members are known for their teaching and scholarship, and are among the world’s foremost experts on subjects such as international water resources, child courtroom testimony, computer-assisted litigation, banking, economic sanctions, corporations, and modern law practice. Pacific McGeorge faculty authors have written dozens of books, including textbooks that are in use at hundreds of American law schools and more than a dozen books in Thomson West’s popular Global Issues series.
A leader in the study of international law, Pacific McGeorge’s J.D. program reflects the growth of democracy and representative government throughout the world, attracting students from five continents. Its LL.M. program in Transnational Business Practice brings together foreign and American attorneys interested in practicing law globally. Pacific McGeorge has organized three Centers of Distinction, which encourage students to pursue specialized legal study: the Center for Advocacy & Dispute Resolution, the Global Center for Business & Development, and the Capital Center for Public Law & Policy.
Pacific McGeorge is one of only 80 American Bar Association-accredited law schools that have been awarded a chapter in the Order of the Coif, the highest acknowledgment of legal academic excellence. It is offers an evening-division program allowing professionals in other occupations an opportunity to change careers and become attorneys.
Announcing CAAA 2010 Annual Meeting Abstracting eJournal
In cooperation with the Canadian Academic Accounting Association (CAAA), the Accounting Research Network (ARN) is pleased to announce the 2010 Canadian Academic Accounting Association (CAAA) Annual Conference abstracting eJournal. The abstracting eJournal is available to all users at no charge and contains abstracts of the meeting papers with links to the full text within the SSRN eLibrary.
The Canadian Academic Accounting Association (CAAA) is an organization of accounting educators, professional accountants, and others who are involved in, or concerned about, research and education in accounting and related areas.
