The Asia Health Policy Program at the Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center at Stanford University sponsors multidisciplinary research on health policy and demographic change in the Asia Pacific region, focusing on how comparative analysis can provide policy insight. Our working paper series promotes dissemination of high-quality social science research on health policy and demographic change in the Asia-Pacific region, drawing from the research of our affiliated faculty, postdoctoral fellows, visiting scholars, and select colleagues from throughout the region. The papers are published electronically and are available online or through email distribution. They can be accessed at http://asiahealthpolicy.stanford.edu/publications/list/0/0/4/.

The Population and Economic Development e-Working Paper Series provides a forum to disseminate timely research on population and economic development. This Series is part of the PopPov Research Network, a community of academic researchers and funders from around the globe interested in how population dynamics affect economic outcomes, particularly in Africa. Within the context of population issues – including reproductive health and family planning – topics of interest include, but are not limited to: macroeconomic modeling, household and other microeconomic outcomes, qualitative and community-based work, and longitudinal analyses. Submissions are welcome from researchers both within and outside of the PopPov Research Network. Please note that papers that appear in this Series will not limit or otherwise affect submission to and publication in a professional journal.
