The University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law Legal Studies Research Paper Series features published papers (including cross-disciplinary and collaborative papers), works in progress, and abstracts written by the faculty of the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law. Celebrating its centennial this year, the College of Law has five centers, collaborative projects, and wide-ranging scholarship that confronts the defining issues of our time: climate change, the new economy, biomedical sciences and law, criminal justice, global justice, the family, and innovation in legal education. The College of Law brings programmatic innovations into the classroom, combining hands-on skills instruction, immersive simulations, advanced technology, and real-world clinical and pro bono service to enhance learning objectives. The College of Law was recently included in The National Jurist’s rankings for both the top 20 Best Value Law Schools and the 20 Most Innovative Law Schools.

Announcing 25th Australasian Finance & Banking Conference 2012 eJournal on SSRN
In cooperation with the Institute of Global Finance and the School of Banking and Finance at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), the Financial Economics Network (FEN) is pleased to announce the 25th Australasian Finance and Banking Conference (AFBC) 2012 eJournal. This eJournal is available to all subscribers at no charge and contains abstracts of the meeting papers with links to the full text in the SSRN eLibrary.
The AFBC is an annual event organized by the Institute of Global Finance and the School of Banking and Finance at the Australian School of Business, (UNSW). The event aims to promote discussion and interaction among researchers, academics, and practitioners interested in finance and banking fields, and draws a large crowd of both international and Australian participants to the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney every December. The conference runs over three days and includes plenary sessions with distinguished keynote speakers, break-out sessions, social events, a Business Forum, a special issue of the Journal of Banking and Finance, a session for PhD students, and other initiatives such as the Networking Women in Finance session that discusses gender initiatives in the field. This eJournal provides a data warehouse for all abstracts and papers presented at the Annual Conference. Abstracts of the papers will also be distributed in subject-specific eJournals within FEN and, where appropriate, in the eJournals of our sister networks.
